Stone and Ice book 1: The Last Half-Blood chapter 6 & 7

Chapter 6 and 7! Wow! I've made it so far!

My dear readers I feel bad for you, your inbox is getting stocked with e-mails from moi! I tried to stop to give you all breathing room but my sister's laptop was just sitting there and I already had written and couldn't resist!!

But it's like the magic fairy of writing came to me and sparkled her magic on me! Let's hope she keeps doing it!!

The beginning of Tyler's chapter is actually a part of the very first draft of this story just altered a little.

The prophecy was horrible, I'll probably hire someone to rewrite it.
You are allowed to help.
The basic thing is The son of Hermes, Harley was kidnapped in the night, the son of Zeus (the son of light) and fire (Danny) have to team up or Harley will live in forever darkness.

Just had to put this up, Obi-Wan and Anakin's faces priceless!
It's titled:
Meet your new apprentice.

Well, ta ta my friends!!

Chapter 6

Faith

I could tell that Tyler wasn't taking well at the discovery of his father.

"I thought it'd be some minor god, but Zeus! Of all gods!" Tyler said, after dinner, while we watched in Danny and his room.

"Did you know it was Zeus?" Tyler asked Danny for the millionth time.

Danny shook his head, "no, none of us knew..."

"Except my mom, Rob, Dean and Emilio?"

Danny nodded.

There was a knock on the door and Sherri stuck her head in, "hey..." she said, awkwardly.

"Hi Mrs. Youngblood." Danny greeted.

Sherri smiled, "Danny, you're known me your whole life, please call me, Sherri."

Danny nodded.

"Can I talk to you, Tyler?" Sherri asked.

Danny and I looked at Tyler.

He stared at the floor.

"I guess so..." he mumbled.

I stood up, "We'll give you some space. Come on Danny."

"But..." Danny started and glared at him.

"Come on, baby brother."

Danny grumbled, "I hate when you call me that..."

Grumbling, Danny followed me into the living room.

Danny climbed onto the arm of the couch and put his ear close to the air vent.

"Daniel," I said, firmly.

"You sound like mom."

"Because I have to babysit you like she does, you shouldn't be listening in on them."

"Well, sorry I wanna know about my best friend's dad, I mean it's not like everyday who meet a son of Zeus."

I shrugged, "I guess you're right, move over."

I stood next to him and placed my ear by the air vent.

"Tyler..." Sherri begun, "please don't be mad at the Ellis family or Rob, the only reason I made them keep it from you was to protect you."

"From what?" Tyler spat with rage in his voice; "Danny and Faith have known about their powers since they were two and have used all these years to train themselves to use them to protect their family and friends. They can do amazing and impossible things and to them, I must seem like a loser."

"Tyler Christopher, don't ever say things like that. Danny and Faith are your best friends, they were your friends long before they knew of your demigod identity and still will be your friends even after."

"What do you mean?"

"Danny and Faith didn't know you were a demigod until you all were eight years old, remember that accident with the electrical cable?"

Danny and I both shuddered at the thought of the man with the one eye.

We were playing in a local park and a man with one eye came after Tyler, Tyler got a hold of a power cable and electrocuted the man and himself.

The one eyed man died instantly but Tyler had survived, the doctors said it was a miracle but when Danny and I returned home, Mom and Dad sat us down and told them that Tyler was a demigod but never to tell him.

"Yeah."

"That was when they found out, they became your friends because they wanted to, not because you were a demigod."

"So why didn't you tell me I was a demigod when I was eight?

"You know Mr. Rollins, the creature that attacked you?"

Tyler must of nodded because Sherri nodded, "well, if you had known your father's identity that early, monsters, much bigger and more dangerous would constantly be hunting you, you didn't have any training yet and untrained demigods are the easiest to catch."

"That's why Rob taught me sword fighting right after the electrical cable accident." Tyler said with realization in his voice.

"Yes, we've been very lucky that Rob found us."

"That's not the reason why he married you, right?" Tyler now sounded distressed.

"Of course not, he married me because...well, he loved me, Tyler."

"And he wasn't mad that I was a son of Zeus?"

"Never, he didn't care who your father was, he thought of you as his own son and still does."

"Oh..." Tyler's voice drifted. "Does my father know about me?"

"Yes, but he's only seen you once and you were a small baby. Your father is known to make promises that he never keeps, he promised me before you were born that he would stop seeing other girls, but about a week later, Hermes, the god of travel told me that his wife, Hera caught him with a mortal."

"Hera..." Tyler said with fear in his voice. "Does she know about me?"

"Not while you were growing up, but when your father claimed you, she and the other gods found out. I made him stay out our lives to keep you safe."

Tyler was quiet.

"Tyler, I know this must be a confusing time, but it will get better, I promise. I have a feeling that you and your friends are destined for greatness."

"What the heck are you two doing?"

We both lost our balance, falling off the couch arm.

Danny fell first onto his back and I came flying after onto his gut, he let out a groan.

Mom, dressed in her pajamas, walked over and put her hands on her hips.

She cocked an eyebrow, questionably with an annoyed look.

Danny and I waved, "hi mom."

"Now what are my twins up to?"

"Oh, nothing." Danny said weakly, the wind had been knocked out of him.

"Should I be concerned?"

We both answered this time, "No."

Chapter 7

Tyler

I stood in a dark cave; my breathing was quiet as the water dripping from the cave ceiling.

Where am I? I thought to myself.

"Tyler!" Brooke's voice echoed through the cave.

"Brooke, where are you?" I called out.

"Right here!" Brooke appeared down the dark tunnel, she had her long blond hair pulled and held a sword.

I ran towards her, "where are we?"

"No time for talking, Harley has gone missing."

"What can I do?" I asked, "I'm just a regular kid."

"No, you're the son of Zeus."

I suddenly remembered my encounter with Mr. Rollins, "oh, yeah."

"Tyler, we need you."

I woke with a start.

I was in my bedroom again.

The only thing I could hear was my own heartbeat.

"Danny..." I whispered, crawling off my bed, "Danny, are you awake?"

I about put my hand to shake Danny awake when I heard voices in the living room.

There stood Danny, in his big gray shirt and blue pajamas bottoms talking to...Rosaline!

I rubbed my eyes and saw Rosaline sitting on the couch, her long curly red hair was pulled up in a pony and she had a beautifully made sword,          Faith sat across her on another couch.

Carson and Melanie were also there, sitting on the floor in their pajamas playing Chess.

"It's not like him to suddenly disappear..."

"Rosaline, what are you doing here?" I barged in.

Rosaline jumped a little, "Tyler, you're awake."

"Yeah, how come you're here?" I asked, as Dean came down the stairs, holding a map.

"Here you go, little sis," he said, placing it on the coffee table.

My eyes widened, "oh, no, don't tell me..."

"Tyler," Danny said, "I'd like you to meet my aunt Rosaline."

"What?" I exclaimed, "Rosaline, you're Danny's aunt? But that'd make you..."

"My sister," Dean said, sitting down next to Rosaline. "We're half siblings on my dad's side."

"You're a demigod, Rosaline?"

"Daughter of Apollo."

"How long have you've known about this?"

"Since I was about three and my mom met Dean and his family." Rosaline looked up at Dean.

I took a deep breath.

"Hey Tyler, just be lucky that you didn't get the news that you have an aunt younger than you." Carson tried to lighten the mood.

"So, you, Dean, and Rob are demigods..." I began.

I was suddenly attacked hug and a familiar voice said, "don't forget about me!"

"Brooke?" I questioned, "You're one too?"

"Yup, daughter of Hermes!" Brooke said, letting me go.

"Wow, this is a lot to take in..."

"Yeah, but you get use it soon."

"Hopefully...so, why are you and Brooke here? Not trying to sound rude, I was just curious."

"Well..." Brooke's voice went dark, "Harley went missing."

"What? When?"

"A few days ago, we searched and searched until we found this..."

Brooke handed me a paper.

The son of flight taken by the night.

Sons of the light and fire must bond.

Or shall the son flight shall live in fright.

"What is this?" I questioned.

"It's a prophecy, demigods live by them, they tell us about the future. Keep reading." Rosaline said.

Bring me the black diamond by sunset of the Winter solstice or you will never see your brother again, follow the clues I have given to find the black diamond. Hurry little children before it's too late!

~T

"The Winter Solstice, that's the 21st. That's four days from now!"

Brooke nodded, "we need you, we need all of you to save my brother."

Stone and Ice book 1: The Lost Half-Blood chapter 5

I know what you're thinking.
Five chapters in three days? Britt! Get a life!
Well, in the summer, my life mainly consists of writing stories, reading Percy Jackson and watching the old Star Wars movies.
Every summer I find myself doing these things and it reminds me I have no life!

I was actually very nervous about writing this chapter. I've never really written from Faith's point of view and wasn't sure if I'd do it right.
But looks like I got through it! :D
I'm not sure how I'll write chapter 6 but it'll come soon (hopefully!)

While I was typing this chapter, my playlist kept playing love songs like "Looking Through Your Eyes" from Quest for Camelot. It's like my computer knows something...;)
Also, if it seems like Faith and Danny don't like each other but they don't, Faith loves her baby brother very much and Danny is SUPER protective of his older sister. It's cute :3

Well, time for Brittany to stop babbling about stuff and let you read.
Here's some funny pics :)

Stone and Ice book 1: The Lost Half-Blood chapter 3-4

Hello again!

It's who know you, Britt!

I've been getting the writer's craze and can't stop writing to save my life!! I wrote this little addition last night at 1:40AM (I have a serious problem!). I also didn't want to leave you all on a clip hanger and I think I did with this one too.

I menation The Human Torch a couple of times in this because now that I think about it, Danny is like the human torch (powers wise you know). For those who don't know the Human Torch is, he's from The Fantastic Four and can control fire.

Yes, that's Captain America. I find it funny actually because when this movie first came out. The Human Torch was my favorite character and Captain America is one of my favorite superheroes!

Thank goodness for the epic Star Wars music I was listening to during this or it wouldn't be as good. I apologize for the mistakes I made in the pervious chapters, like in chapter 3, I didn't put Danny under it. He tells his point of view in chapter 3 & 4. I fixed it.

Check out my blog for this series:

Next chapter from Faith's view! :D

Thanks for reading!

FEEDBACK IS GREATLY WELCOMED!!

~Britt

p.s. Now after reading this, I really wanna watch Return of the Jedi!

I never grew tired of seeing the beautiful landscape of Ireland.

I wished I lived in Ireland, but I actually lived in Avalon so I could be close to my school.

But when we'd come here during Christmas or summer, I was at complete peace.

"The ocean is so beautiful!" Ariana exclaimed as the van we rented drove along the mountainside giving us a breath taking view of Ireland.

         Rob smiled, "sure is."

"Grandpa Peter sailed on that ocean?" asked Ariana, referring to Rob's father.

"Yup, grandpa loved that ocean." Rob answered.

Ariana's eyes lit up just like her dad's did, which was kind of freaky how much she looked like Rob.

"Sweet," she said coolly and leaned forward to listen to Melissa and Carson.

Rob turned to the ocean and closed his eyes as if he could taste the salty air already.

When we arrived at the cabin, we all hurried to claim our rooms.

We've had our cabin since Faith and I were three.

Some of our earliest memories were here, like playing on the beach and making movies with an old video camera in the fields.

The cabin was large with three stories, a basement with a living room that included a flat screen TV, two bathrooms and four bedrooms.

The main floor had a kitchen and dining room; it had one bathroom and a large front room with a fireplace and a baloney going around the cabin.

The top floor had been dubbed as adult quarters.

It had five bedrooms, three bathrooms and an open sitting room with a large window overlooking the valley.

When we entered, in the living room was a large Christmas tree decorated with various ornaments and colorful ribbons and peacefully placed on the top was a star.

Patrick gasped, "presents! Are any for me?"

"Patrick, that's rude." Tyler's mom, Sherri told her small son.

         Dad laughed, "it's fine, Sherri. Let's see…"

Dad walked over and picked up a package wrapped in blue.

"I don't know, but this present is addressed to one Patrick R. Youngblood."

Patrick's blue eyes went huge, "my name is Patrick R. Youngblood! R is for Robert, that's my daddy's name!"

Dad smiled, he had always loved kids.

"Can I have it PLEASE??" Patrick begged.

Dad glanced at Sherri and she gave him the OK.

He handed the present to Patrick.

         "Thank you, uncle Dean!"

Dean wasn't really Rob's brother, but he was close enough that Rob's kids called him, uncle.

Anyways, Dad was Ariana and Patrick's godfather like Rob was to my siblings and I.

I felt a tug on my sleeve, "let's grab the best room before the girls did like last year." Tyler said.

         "Carson," I said.

Carson looked up from talking to Melissa, "yeah?"

"You sharing a room with Tyler and I again?"

         Carson shrugged, "Sure."

"Kay," I grabbed Carson's suitcase and headed downstairs with Tyler.

Than there was a sudden clatter of feet and female voices, I recognized Faith's.

"They've figured out our plan!" I screamed and bolted for the best room that was located right next to the living room.

It was the largest with a built in bathroom and a flat screen with all the movies and cable.

"Hurry! We can't let the boys get it!" Melissa hollered as the girls stampeded down the stairs.

My heart raced as I tried to run faster and pull two heavy suitcases at once.

"They're gaining!" Tyler yelled, half laughing.

"You won't win this time, Danny!" Faith's voice echoed through the hallway.

         "No way!" I called out.

Feeling like we had been going down this hallway for a century, we spotted the door.

"Here," I handed Tyler the suitcases, "I'll defend the fortress."

         "Yes captain Ellis!" Tyler laughed.

Melissa, Melanie (my older sister), Faith, Ariana and a very distracted Patrick came running around the corner.

"You are too late, ha-ha!" I exclaimed, swinging my arms in defense mode.

Faith and Melissa suddenly froze their eyes were huge.

"Daniel!!" Carson came around the corner, calling me by my real name. I hated it.

"What?" I questioned than looked down at my arms, they had flames encircling them causally.

I felt no pain, no burn.

I put my arms down and the flames disappeared.

"WHOA!! How did you do THAT?" Patrick exclaimed.

Tyler came out of the bedroom, "what's going on?"

"Danny's the human torch!!" Patrick nearly screamed.

I heard footsteps and enter my mother.

"Why are you guys yelling? We can hear you in the kitchen." She asked.

         "Nothing…" I began.

"Danny's the human torch!! He went, WOOSH! His arms had fire around them!" Patrick went around in circles, making fire sound effects.

Mom gave me a questioning look.

"I…uh…" I started when Melissa's mom, Nikita yelled.

         "Dinner's ready!"

I sighed in relief as the others raced upstairs and it was just mom and I.

Mom watched Patrick run upstairs, still pretending to be the human torch as Ariana pulled him upstairs than turned back to me. "Something you wanna tell me?"

"It was an accident, I swear!"

"Danny, you're thirteen. You know better. You're just lucky that Tyler didn't see and Patrick makes up stories."

         I nodded, "yeah…sorry mom."

Mom sighed, the worry in her eyes disappeared; we both have the same eyes. Gray. "Just be more careful, okay?"

         I nodded again, "yes ma'am."

Mom walked over and kissed my head, "love you."

"Love you too, now let's eat. I'm starving."

Chapter 4

Danny

After dinner, we all went to play on the beach.

My little accident was soon forgotten and everything went back to normal.

When sunset came, it was about 9:30 PM and we headed inside to get ready for bed.

Tyler was sitting on his bed when I came in, all dressed in my pajamas.

My bed was on the left and his was on the right, across from each other. Carson's was right next to the window, giving a beautiful view of the ocean.

This bedroom was decorated in movie posters; it was themed as the movie room.

I always got the bed right above the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi poster and Tyler always had the bed under the Karate Kid movie.

The Karate Kid had been his favorite movie since he was eight and mine was Return of the Jedi.

"So, Tyler. What was it you had to tell me?" I asked.

Tyler looked over; I could sense his mind was in turmoil and confusion.

"Carson won't hear he's still in the shower." I told him and I could tell he calmed down a little.

He sat up and beckons me to come over.

I got off and came to sit across from on his bed, "seriously, Tyler. What is it?"

Tyler looked around, double-checking that no one was listening, "ok, I was at school and you know Mr. Rollins?"

         "Yeah, that teacher who have?"

He nodded, "Well, I was listening in on Mr. Rollins who was talking to someone and he said, 'If he doesn't figure how he's a demigod by now, I don't think…' are you alright, Danny?"

         "Huh?" I asked.

"Your eyes are as big as dinner plates."

"Oh, sorry." I rubbed my eyes, "go on."

"Ok, well, I guess Rollins figured out I was listening and so I ran until I ran into Justin Kidman. You remember Justin Kidman?"

"Of course, he's the idiot I've told you I'd beat up for you."

         "Yeah, so has Rosaline."

"Why am I not surprised, we'll team up when I come to Oklahoma this summer and get him."

"Well, here's the thing. Justin Kidman isn't human, he was like a creature out of a movie and so was Mr. Rollins."

"What?" I questioned. "You had two monsters at your school? How is that possible?"

Tyler's eyes went big, "so you understand what I'm talking about!"

         I nodded, "completely."

"It was like I was sucked into this book that my creative writing teacher, Mrs. Bramell gave me." Tyler grabbed his backpack and took out a purple covered book.

         I recognized it immediately.

The Burning Rose series by Jamie Hawkins, it was written by a mortal friend of mom and dad.

"But this is just a story, witches, demigods, demons, fire shifters and vampire hunters, they don't exist." Tyler said, "when I asked Rob about it afterwards, he acted like nothing happened. I had hoped you'd know…you are, after all, my best friend."

I took a deep breath, mom and dad would probably kill if I told him but it seemed like Tyler was already figuring out.

"Tyler, the book you're reading, Burning Rose is not just a made up story. It's a history book told from the point of view of someone who was actually there."

         Tyler looked at me, confused.

"Burning Rose is real, it's a school in Avalon…that Faith and I…go to…"

         "What? But you're…"

"Normal? I'm not. Faith isn't either, nor Carson, Melanie, or Trinity…" I stopped short at the mention of my missing brother.

"Are you telling me that all of this real? Avalon exists and you're a supernatural?"

         I nodded, "I'm a fire demon."

Tyler's eyes went huge, "you're the one he was talking about…what is a fire demon?"

"I can control fire, like the human torch as Patrick called me at dinner."

"How long as you've been one?"

"Since I was born but I discovered it when I was two years old and I have been going to Burning Rose to learn how to control it better ever since."

"You've known about these powers since you were two and you never told me?" Tyler asked, shocked.

I nodded, "I wanted to tell you but my dad forbid to, because you are special Tyler…"

"What do you mean?" he cocked an eyebrow at me.

"You said that you never knew your dad, right?" I asked.

Tyler's face darkened, "yes. What does this have to do with anything?"

"Do you remember David and Hayden in the story?" I asked.

         Tyler nodded, "they were demigods."

"David is my father." I said.

         Tyler looked at me, "What?"

"This series was written by Jamie Hawkins, she was friends with my parents and yours. She was a mortal and wrote down their adventures but changed their names. David is my dad's middle name."

"That means…your dad is the son of Apollo?" Tyler questioned.

I nodded, "that's how I got my power, it's a rare gift but some children or descendants of Apollo can control fire, my dad didn't get it but I did and Faith can control ice and magic."

"Magic?" Tyler questioned again, "Your mom is Eliana in the story…and a witch. Is that why her hair is silver?"

"Spell went wrong when she was sixteen and made her hair that way."

         "Whoa..."

"Anyway, you are like David and Hayden in the story, your father is a god, you are half god and half human."

         "Who's my dad?"

"Tyler, I only knows you're a demigod. Only my dad and Rob know."

"Wait, how does Rob know? Is he Hayden?"

"Yeah."

"So, how do we find out who my dad is?" questioned Tyler.

"We have to wait and see if he claims you, what happen at school?"

"There was a tornado but I think I caused it…"

"Well, good news is that it might not take long for you to figure it out but the bad news is…"

         "What?"

"Once you realize who you truly are, some 'friends' are going to come looking for you."
